Your trade Painters

Jetsy for painters

Every call about a paint job, answered. Every estimate, on your calendar.

You are on a ladder with a roller in your hand. The phone rings. Jetsy picks up, takes the address and the rooms, and books the walk-through. You see it on your phone at lunch.

No card for the free trial. English and Spanish. Code CRM27 takes 27% off every month.

Jetsy answers for a painting company in the moments you cannot pick up: loading the van at 7:40 on a Monday; at a Thursday walk-through with the price book open; on a ladder with a roller in your hand. It was built in Arizona by a painting company that runs on it every day, and it works in English and Spanish.

The phone

What a painting customer hears when Jetsy answers.

It picks up in your business’s name, says it is the virtual assistant and that the call is recorded, finds out what they need, takes the address, offers two times from your calendar, books one and texts the caller. Here is the sample call, written out.

  1. JetsyThanks for calling Happy Brush Painters. I’m the virtual assistant, and this call is recorded. How can I help?
  2. CallerHi, a leak stained our ceiling and we need it painted.
  3. JetsyWe can help with that. The owner looks at it free and you get the price the same day. What’s the address?
  4. Caller4410 East Cactus Road, Phoenix.
  5. JetsyGot it. I have Thursday at 9 or Thursday at 2. Which is better for you?
  6. CallerThursday at 9.
  7. JetsyDone, that’s booked. Can I get your name for the appointment?
  8. CallerIt’s Maria.
  9. JetsyThank you, Maria. I’m texting you the time and the address now. Have a good one!

They ask. Jetsy answers and books.

  1. How much to paint a 3-bedroom house inside?”

Jetsy says what you charge for, and that the price comes after a free look.

  2. Do you do exteriors and stucco repair?”

Jetsy takes the address, the rooms or the square feet, and when they are home.

  3. Can someone come look at it this week?”

Jetsy books the walk-through on your calendar and texts you the lead.

Have Jetsy call you — hear it yourself in a minute.

Type your cell. Jetsy rings you and you ask it anything about Jetsy — it is the same software that would answer for a painting company.

Phone answering comes with Jetsy 2.0 and up. You keep your own number and forward it. On Jetsy 1.0 you answer your own phone and still get the whole office.

A real week

What it looks like for a painting company.

  1. 1
    Monday, 7:40 am

A homeowner calls about kitchen cabinets while you load the van. Jetsy books Thursday at 5 pm. The lead is on your Today list with the address.

  2. 2
    Thursday, 5:30 pm

At the walk-through you open the price book, tap walls, ceilings and trim, and the quote is written. You send it before you leave the driveway. She signs it on her phone.

  3. 3
    Two weeks later

Your crew taps On the way, On site and Done. Before and after photos go on the invoice. She pays by card and the money goes to your bank.

  4. 4
    Next spring

Follow up reminds you it is time to ask about the exterior. One tap sends the text.

New for painters

The newest things Jetsy does for a painting company.

Each one is already in the app. Open it live in the sample, no sign-up.

  • Five stars after the job

The after-the-job message asks “How did we do?” with one tap to five big stars, by email on Jetsy 1.0 and by text from Jetsy 2.0. Four or five stars gets a Post it on Google button. One to three asks what went wrong and buzzes you first, before they ever reach Google.

  • Come-backs become leads by themselves

A repaint in 5 years, a service every spring: pick the repeat on a finished job and when the day comes the customer lands on your Proposals tab, marked Coming back, with the address and what you did last time. Nothing is sent to them. It is your lead to work.

  • Forms and checklists on each job

Build a form (checkboxes, text, numbers, yes/no, dates, photos, a signature) or start from a ready-made one, and attach it to a job or a job type. The crew fills it on the phone, required items must be done before Job finished, and you print or share a clean copy for the customer.

  • A missed call texted back

Somebody rings and hangs up before you get their name. Within seconds they get a text: “We saw your call but did not catch what you needed. Reply here and we will help.” Once per number per day, between 7am and 10pm, in Spanish if they spoke Spanish. You can use your own words.

    From Jetsy 2.0 · $50 See it live →
  • The reminder asks YES or NO

The day-before reminder ends with “Reply YES to confirm or NO to change it.” YES marks the job Confirmed and thanks them. NO buzzes you right away with their number and tells them you will call to pick another day.

The office app

The whole office, on the phone you already have.

Nothing to install. It runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, in English and Spanish with one tap to switch.

  • Proposals and customers — every call, form and proposal in one list, hot ones first. Bring your phone contacts in with a few taps.
  • Quotes written for your trade — a price book so every job is priced the same way, with before and after photos. The customer signs on their phone.
  • Calendar, routes and crew — the day in driving order, a dispatch board, a crew app with a time clock.
  • Invoices and card payments — straight to your bank through your own Stripe account. Deposits too.
  • Follow up — one list of every reason to call or text someone: a quote with no answer, money due, a review to ask.

Questions

What painters ask before they start.

What does Jetsy say when a caller asks what a paint job costs?

Only what you set. By default it says the owner gives the price after a free look, takes the address, the rooms or the square feet, and books the walk-through on your calendar. If you type price ranges or exact prices in Setup, it says those word for word and never adds them up or discounts them.

Can I put before and after photos on the quote and the invoice?

Yes, on every plan. The price book prices walls, ceilings and trim the same way every time, the photos go on the proposal and the invoice, and the customer signs and pays by card on their phone.

Do I have to give up my phone number?

No. You keep your number and forward it to Jetsy. The easy way is to forward only the calls you miss: your phone rings first, and if you do not pick up, Jetsy answers, nights and weekends too.

What does it cost for a painting company?

Jetsy 1.0 is $25 a month for the whole office. Jetsy 2.0 is $50 a month and adds the phone that answers, with 100 call minutes a month and 25 cents a minute after. Month to month, no contract. The free trial is 30 days, no card.
